A mother was arrested Wednesday after she parked her car on the grass outside Dr. Edward L. Wingham Elementary School in Cutler Bay. Rita Guzman, 25, was arrested on a charge of resisting an officer without violence after she refused to comply with a Miami-Dade police officer's orders, an arrest report said. Ten Coral Springs High School students were treated Thursday for "heat emergency-type symptoms," Coral Springs Fire Department Division Chief Michael Moser said. A former vice president of TD Bank pleaded guilty Thursday to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in a $1.2 billion Ponzi scheme operated by convicted fraudster Scott Rothstein. Former TD Bank regional vice president Frank Spinosa, 54, was released on $250,000 bail after his arrest last October. A grand jury indictment charged that Spinosa conspired with Rothstein to falsely tell investors that money in certain accounts was payable only to them.
